For free, confidential information and support for people affected by sexual harm you can contact Safe to Talk. This helpline is staffed by specialists trained in sexual harm support. They can help you access information, crisis counselling and support, and give you information about your local service providers. You can say as much or as little as you like and can remain anonymous. The helpline can be accessed free, across Aotearoa, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, by phone, text, website, online chat and email.
Netsafe provides support and advice for dealing with online harms. This includes online harassment, image-based sexual abuse, scams and more. You can report harmful content to Netsafe directly, and they also have a call, text and online chat support service.
Specialist Sexual Assault Medical Help
Medical Sexual Assault Clinicians Aotearoa (MEDSAC) hosts the list of specialist sexual assault medical services (SAATS) available to people in NZ of all ages and genders who may have experienced sexual assault. You can access these services without a referral. SAATS clinics are located throughout the country and are FREE of charge. This website also tells you how to get in touch with your nearest crisis support agency if you want counselling or advice.

TOAH NNEST is a network of specialist sexual violence response and prevention services across Aotearoa NZ.

OUTLine NZ is a national telephone counselling and information support service for the Gay, Lesbian, Transgender, Takataapui and Bisexual people of New Zealand. Intersex Aotearoa is an intersex-led non-profit organisation that provides affirmation, advocacy and referral for intersex people and their whānau. Visit the IA website to check out their resources, including peer-support services.
Gender Minorities Aotearoa is a nationwide organisation which is run by and for transgender people, including non-binary, intersex, and takataapui gender diverse people. It offers information, advocacy, and wraparound support for transgender people of all ages, ethnicities and backgrounds.
Rainbow Youth is an Auckland-based organisation that provides information, advocacy and education for queer young people, their friends and whānau.
Qtopia provides support for rainbow young people in Ōtautahi Christchurch and the wider Waitaha Canterbury area. They can connect you with their youth groups, whānau support and resources. Their Diversity and Inclusion workshops are available to schools, workplaces, businesses and anyone interested in creating an inclusive Canterbury.
